Meet Ed, Kate and their beautiful chocolate lab Cody.  According to the weather man it was going to be cold and cloudy this particular afternoon and guess what ? Unfortunately, he got it right (minus a 5 minute window of sparse sunshine).  I’m pretty sure that it never got out of the 20’s and if it did it wasn’t by much. Needless to say we didn’t let it slow us down while wandering the streets of NoDa.  Ed and Kate are getting married this July and a I couldn’t be more excited to share in this experience with them. Oh and I can’t forget about Cody, she pretty much rocks my world. In case you didn’t know, I have a  soft spot in my heart for dogs and especially the retriever breed. Thank you again guys!

As a side note, I’m excited to showcase Ed and Kate’s preview in the new flash viewer that has been in the works for some time. It’s pretty much version 1.0 with cool upgrades coming in the near future.   I hope that you find it easier than scrolling up and down the page. Thank you again for taking the time to stop by.

I was looking through some old pictures and stumbled across this one of my Golden Retriever, Kelsey. Every time I see it, I can’t help but smile. I hope that everyone has had a wonderful week and about to have an even better weekend!

Staton | Carrie

Staton and Carrie are getting married this March and just happen to be some of my best friends.  I am sure that I will get grief for telling this story but it’s worth it,  so here goes.  Staton and I first met my senior year of college at Appalachian State University.  To be honest with you, I was a little scared of this guy at first.  You would never know it today but back then he used to sport long black hair, drove a monster truck (slight exaggeration) and listened to hard core punk, or least that was my impression at the time (not that there is anything wrong with any of that).  Having never actually met him, I remember thinking; “I hope I don’t run into this guy in some dark alley”.  Eventually we did meet and as it turns out he is one of the most caring and wonderful individuals that I know. Also turns out that we have way more in common than I would have ever guessed.  LIFE LESSON 101:  be careful when jumping to conclusions before having the chance to know someone, they might just turn out to be one of your best friends.  Staton has since cut his hair, traded in “Gravedigger” and reconnected with an incredibly special woman. They have known each other for years but it wasn’t until somewhat recently that he got up the courage to ask her out, the rest is history.  Congratulations guys, I feel so honored to be a part of your lives!

  1. Honestly, I am impressed more and more as I continue to explore your images and how they capture the beauty of the people you are shooting. No matter who/what you are shooting you are able to connect with them on such a personal level that each receives their own story and identity. Listen to me people of the world, this guy has a rare quality we all should admire.

  2. Beautiful lighting, composition, and emotion. I’ve been an art director/designer for 30 years, so I’ve seen lots of photo essays, and this is one of the best. Keep up the good work!!

  3. Anyone in the world can take a picture… but it takes a real talent to produce such beautiful art through the lens of a camera. I always knew you had an eye for beauty in ways no one else could see, now I am glad that we all get to see life through your eyes. Keep up the great work, I am truly a fan for life.

  4. oh goodies.. I love the one of the cutie pug in the back seat. that is fantastically whimsical! Jeff your work is so fantastic. can’t wait to hang in vegas
